MCGives: Support Monterey Bay Fisheries Trust

We’re proud to join in the annual Monterey County Gives! campaign this year: November 11 to December 31, 2021.

This unique year-end campaign is all about keeping it local. MCGives! is designed to inspire local philanthropy for local nonprofits—including the Monterey Bay Fisheries Trust. You’re invited to contribute! At the end of the campaign, each nonprofit receives 100% of their donations, along with a matching gift from participating community partners. This means you can increase the impact of your year-end contribution while supporting important work here in Monterey County.

Over the past two years, we raised close to $70,000 for MBFT through this annual campaign, including thousands of dollars in matching funds. This extraordinary response—especially with the challenges of the past 18 months—is a reflection of the deep commitment of individuals and businesses around Monterey Bay.

For this year, our goal is to raise $50,000 for Monterey Bay Fisheries Trust by the end of December. We’ve already raised $13,900 in challenge gifts, and we hope you’ll join in, too. This year’s donations will support our ongoing work in 2022—connecting our community with local, sustainably-caught seafood and preserving this essential part of our economy, heritage, and biodiversity. In the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing highlights from our current work made possible by your support.
