Happy New Year!

As 2023 opens up a fresh start for PEACE ON EARTH, we are hopeful and excited. Yes, there are many challenges out there, both locally and globally. The world is changing before our eyes, and it’s up to each of us to respond accordingly.

Here at the Trust, we are doubling down on our efforts to grow a local SEA + food movement, finding new ways to connect the community with local seafood and the harvesters who bring this healthy and sustainable food to our markets and plates. We seek to grow our Community Seafood Program to ensure a more equitable distribution of fresh seafood throughout our community while also supporting fishing families. And we act as a resource, connector, and facilitator supporting local fishermen as leaders in the stewardship of our Monterey Bay resources. They have both the possibility of thriving and face the peril of changing ocean waters, economics, and policies.
