California Fish and Game Commission (Commission) staff invites your participation in an informal workshop to help develop a potential Commission policy on coastal fishing communities. This is the second policy drafting workshop being held at the direction of the Commission, and participation is open to all interested parties.
What: Coastal Fishing Communities Policy Drafting Workshop #2
When: Wednesday, June 22, 3:00–5:30 p.m.
Where: Webinar and teleconference
How: Instructions for joining the workshop, an agenda, and workshop materials will be posted at https://fgc.ca.gov/Meetings/2022
The workshop will build on content and input received from stakeholder participants at the first policy-drafting workshop, which was held on February 23. Information regarding the first workshop was presented at the March 24 Marine Resources Committee meeting (https://nrm.dfg.ca.gov/FileHandler.ashx?DocumentID=200596&inline).
Outcomes from the workshop will form the foundation of a presentation to the Commission’s Marine Resources Committee at its July 14, 2022 meeting. Ultimately, the goal is a draft policy to be considered for adoption by the Commission.
