Being a commercial fisherman or woman involves much more than catching fish. Much of the trade is based on entrepreneurship and solid business management practices. At the same time, learning as you go and trial and error can be easier done on the water than in financing an operation. California FarmLink, a Monterey Bay Fisheries Trust partner, is working to support resilient fishing enterprises with the Resilerator, an educational course and business accelerator that emphasizes long-term resilience and sustainable profits and practices.
This event is ten weeks, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 9-10:30 am in January, February and March.
There are only 30 spots; once they fill, there will be a waitlist.
It will be held virtually through the Farmer Campus online platform.
The deadline for applying is December 1st.
