On September 9th, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that it will be providing approximately $530 million to support the U.S. seafood industry and fishermen who have been impacted by retaliatory tariffs. Payments are based on 2019 landings of select species including locally relevant species like Dungeness crab, sablefish, salmon, squid, and more.
